Here at NERO Atlanta, we have an in-game resource which blows plot all
to hell.  She is named Penelope, and she tells fortunes at the
Astrologer's Guild.  As far as I know, she has broken three plotlines
months ahead of schedule, and looking over the notes of her last reading,
I think she's about to bring another one up early.

Now, none of this would be spectacular if she were an NPC, or even a
highly plot controlled PC, but she isn't.  AKAIK, she hasn't even been on
anything resembling a module in two years, and the plot guys go out of
their way to  avoid telling her anything.  People just come to her with
questions, and she gives them an answer.  She's been so accurate that
Penelope told me so, is a standard explanation of how you came by
knowledge in game...
