A couple years ago one of our members, a diabetic,  was brought to the
emergency room in the the throws of an insulin reaction.  The only
person he could think of to call was his best SCA buddy, but couldn,t
remember his real name, he could only say "Call Wulfgar", and the phone
number.
   The call from the hospital came asking for  Mr. Gar.  Mr. Wolf Gar.

Of course, NOBODY calls Wulfar by his mundane name, even at work.  We
worked at the same store for a while, and we already had 4 Dave's. 
Occasionally the P.A. would announce; "Wulfgar, line 2"
  They there's the time he was having coffee with our exchequer, and I
addressed them as "The Gar brothers, Aelf and Wulf".

Time to go away now.
