One of them, the mage, then slams a piece of parchment down

Meet with the necromancer, he has us combine the items
The Battle:
The Necromancer, Ariostoxinous, wants to become immortal. (A
common plot) He already has control over death, and has given himself the
strength of four men. (with respect to damage) He also can regenerate
rapidly and heal his own wounds. (Five minutes rest and completely healed)

He has passed some of this power on to his minions, weights, who have the
strength of two men, and can regenerate, and come back to life five minutes
after they die!! They each wear a talisman that gives them this ability.

The only way to permently defeat these creatures is to poor holy water on
them when they are on holy ground. (The chapel, or Valhala. If slain,
their bodies need be taken to one of these locations, with in five minutes
or they will come back to life. [That will be fun!]) If their talisman is
taken, they temporarly loose their powers, and anyone wearing the talisman
gains them, but is slowly turned into a weight themselves.

The necromancer also has the ability to create undead servants to do his
bidding. If someone is slain, the Necromancer may cast a spell on his/her
body, and bring them to a undead state where they must follow his (simple)
orders. If they are later slain, their soul may return to Valhala,
unless the spell is again cast. If the casting of the spell is
interrupted, the spell attempt fails. The spell is about 45 sylables
long, and should take about a minute to cast.

The necromancer has created a doppelganger of the king to aid him in
his fight. This is a free willed creature that will fight for Necky, and
takes double number of hits, but does not regenerate. (This is to give
Elik something to do while he is being kidnapped. He should wait until
our third combat encounter before making his presence known. Once slain,
he returns to be the king, tied up, in the posession of the Necromancer.
The spell to make Ariostoxinous immortal requires 5(4) material
components:
	1. A flask of Dragon's breath
	2. A (silver) box of fire
	3. Five hairs of a virgin
	4. The bloody tip of a Spainiard's bayonet
	5. The skin of a tree
It also requires the blood of a king, (which is why he waited until
now to kidnap Elrik)
The necromancer and his henchmen cannot touch the components, or
they will be ruined. (Which is why he is having us do it.)

The components are combined in this manner:
wrap the hairs around the bayonet tip; place this in the flask; add fire
to the end of the flask; cover with the sphere/put the the 5th item in;
add the blood of the king. This potion is then poored over the body. A
circle of protection might be a good thing for him to establish before we
arrive. The spell must be cast when the moon is high overhead, or
other appropriate astrological event.

If this spell is sucessful, he will become immortal. He must then
be defeated as though he is a terminator (9 red torso's to kill, 9 blues
per limb), and his head removed from his body. Unless his head is removed,
one cevered limb will grow back in 5 minutes time.

Special accomidations will be made for magic, and for
non-fighters. Non-fighters, those who are not passed for woods combat,
may opt to be a partisan healer, or to learn some quick magic. Each will
be given a poem of healing and/or a spell of wounding. There will also be
small flasks of holy water distributed to those who desire them. Certain
healers may also be given holy symbols which have some power against the
undead, and protects the wearer from attack if displayed prominently.. The
spell is a basic one, a minor fire sphere. It has a poem of about 35
sylables, and an object (bean bag?) which is _tossed_ at the target creature.
If it hits, then one point of red damage is done in the location hit. The
object must then be retriever before the spell can be again cast.

Each healer must kneel over the injured combatant, and read their poem
of healing. The flasks of holy water may be used as deemed fit by each
person.

While this combat is set to take place on campus, I hope that it
will still be fun for all. Any base for the Necromancer shall remain
unknown, and the location for the final meeting shall be determined by them.

The necromancer can use the minor fire sphere as well, but need not
attack.

Linkin d' Aramore, the Head Mage, will attend the feast, and provide
useful information to those remaining to fight, as well as holy water
and teaching the spell to would-be wizards. After this he will return to
his study to prepare some powerfull magic.
