Hmm, here's one: An evil pandimensional being (the Ringmaster, let's call him) has transported the PCs in their sleep to his arena. He's a collector of unusual beasts for his gladiatorial combats. The players have the option of going out and hunting down a particular beast and bringing it back alive (and they'll even be paid handsomely for this), though they will have to go out in the wet to do this. If they refuse the mission, the Ringmaster will keep himself entertained by throwing increasingly hard monsters at the party for them to engage in gladiatorial combat until one of two things happens: a) The party stop being such a bunch of bloody wimps and go out in the rain to do a perfectly good "hunter" adventure. b) The party are all dead.
