Parliamentarian: Chairs the Constitution, Regulations, and By-Laws Committee. This individual will attend all Student Senate and Executive Council meetings, ensuring the Constitution and parliamentary procedure are followed by both bodies. This office will also oversee the club chartering process.
Recording Secretary: This individual will be present at both Student Senate and Executive Council Meetings, taking careful notes to be distributed later in the form of official minutes. This individual will also be the keeper of all ECOS records, bringing them forward as needed by ECOS officers or students-at-large.
Director of Public Relations: Chairs the Public Relations Committee. This individual is responsible for the advertising of all things ECOS, including (but not limited to) official ECOS events, club events, elections, etc.
Director of Communications: Chairs the Media Committee. This individual will work with the heads of all the media (listed below) to coordinate their activities, and help the Director of Public Relations use these media as effective communication tools for the student body.
Director of Elections: Chair of the Elections Committee. This individual will oversee all elections, including Student Senate, freshmen Student Senate, Executive Council, and any special elections required by vacancies.
Director, Palmetto Productions: Chair of the Palmetto Productions Student Activities Board. This individual (in coordination with committee chairpersons) will be responsible for bringing in comedians, musicians, artists, and planning other events for the entertainment and enjoyment of the student body.
Webmaster, ECOS Webpage: This individual will oversee the running of the ECOS Webpage, keeping it updated with current information.
Student Coordinator for Community Standards: This individual will oversee the Student Community Standards Board, which hears cases involving violations of Eckerd College policy.
Pet Council Chairperson: This individual will oversee the Pet Council, working with Eckerd’s Pet Owners.
Director of ECOS-Athletics Relations: This individual will serve as an official liaison between ECOS and athletics engendering increased support for all athletic sport teams. In addition, this individual serves on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee as an observer on the faculty athletics committee as an ECOS representative.
Director of Intercollegiate Relations: TThis individual interface with student government officer of other institutions and handle events related to the Academy of Florida Independent Colleges and Universities (AFICU) and the American Student Government Associations (ASGA).
