These pages represent an effort to bring together as many Carolingian coin images as possible. They are organized on the basis of Georges Depeyrot's Le Numeraire Carolingien. Pages with links to Carolingians refer to descriptions of coins found elsewhere on this site. In other cases links are to image sources, generally the home page of the source site. Where a coin is represented without a Depeyrot number, or a number with 'v,' it indicates the coin is a variety not separately catalogued or I can't place it.
In a number of instances, the second edition of Le Numeraire Carolingien has additional number/letter combinations, such as as 515A-M following 515. In these cases the number/letter combination is not represented unless the coin is also represented. This is for space considerations.
