AR maille, 13mm, .41gr. Obv: VA/LE/CE/NE, central monogram of Hainault. Rev: cross with crescents in each quadrant. Mint is Valenciennes. Seller cites Chalon 10. From Sue Hagadorn: "Jeanne was the daughter of Baudouin I of Constantinople, a leader of the Fourth Crusade and the first Latin Emperor of Constantinople. He was also the hereditary count of Hainaut (as Baudouin VI) and count of Flanders (as Baudouin IX)."

Petit denier, 11mm, .52gr. Obv: Lion. Rev: central cross with I D V X. R-; Boud 2341, PdA-. Kunker auction 121 part I #1123, ex  DeWitt, who aquired it from Elsen in 1985. Catalogue cites Vanhoudt G 170.

AR esterlin, 18mm, 1.33gr. Obv: +I.DVX.DE.BRABANTIA, center chatel branbancon (church?). Rev: +MON/ETA/BRV/XEL, central cross with three besants in each quadrant. Mint is Brussels. R5601; Boud 2356.

AR esterlin, 19mm, 1.41gr. Obv: DVX BRABANTIE, central shield with 4 lions. Rev: +MONETA LOVANIES, central cross 'feuillue.' Mint is Louvain. R7732v - the reverse cross does not match; Boud 2367.

Baldwin of Luxembourg (1307 - 1354)

AR 1/2 shilling, 19mm, 1.25gr. Obv: + BALDEVV(W?)INVS, central crowned figure. Rev: legend, central keys. Mint is Trier. Seller ID Noss 24.

Trier's most impressive monument is the Porta Nigra, the great Roman gate. The city is also home to several churches, including the Dom. Baldwin is buried here. First is an aerial view of the Dom (left) and the next door Liebrauenkirche, then views of the exterior and interior of the Dom, followed by a picture of his tomb.

Florin d'or au St. Philippe, 24 mm., 3.3 gr. Obv: S PH'E INTERCD PRO NOBIS, central shield surmounted by crown. Rev: PHS DEI GRA ARCHID AVSTE DVX BVRG, central ornate cross. Mint is Antwerp, 1496-99. While Philippe le Beau is in Roberts, this coin is not. This coin appears on the feudal pages twice; here due to geography and on the Burgundy page due to title claimed.
