For the past twenty-five years, I have been creating sculptural, tuned musical instruments which employ ceramics as their principle resonator. All of these instruments, which include horns, flutes, saxophones, bells, strings, percussion, and electronics, share the unusual haunting timbre of sound that is produced by the clay body I designed. Most are multi-media and vapor-fired.
