Instrumental Methods of Analysis

Welcome to the home page for Instrumental Analysis (CH 326) at Eckerd College.  The purpose of this course is to learn the theory and techniques of modern chemical instrumentation.  This course builds upon many of the principles already developed in Analytical Chemistry (CH 212).  Most of the topics covered in Instrumental Analysis fall into four broad areas:

1.  Electronics
2.  Electrochemistry
3.  Spectroscopy  (including Fourier Transform methods)
4.  Chromatography
